HMS Richards has adopted a unique sent of core values that sets us apart from other Christian schools CHERISH is recognized by the Rocky Mountain Conference of Seventh-day Adventists as character traits that are Biblically centered and are vital to developing young men and women who are prepared to meet the challenges of the world we live in today. These values guide our school day from daily worship to instruction that goes above and beyond reading, writing, and math.
Each morning, teachers gather their students for worship that incorporates our CHERISH core values and each Friday, or entire school body joins together to focus on a core value for that month. At the end of each month, students are recognized for exhibiting Christ Centeredness, Honor, Exploration, Responsibility, Integrity, Service and Heroism.
The CHERISH core values are emphasized within our curriculum. From our ENCOUNTER Bible to science and social studies, CHERISH is central to our instruction. Students will graduate HMS knowing who they are in Christ and will be able to CHERISH others and themselves. They will be lights in a darkened world.
