Overview

HMS Richards Adventist School provides high-caliber education to help children from kindergarten through grade 8 become well-rounded learners and quality citizens with a passion for developing their unique talents, solving problems and improving life.
Our teachers embrace flexible approaches to education and focus on understanding your child’s unique learning style. We ground our culture in biblical values aimed at spreading unending kindness and sharing God’s love.

Our Comprehensive Approach
Our education program begins with a belief in the uniqueness and worth of each student and the importance of the systematic development of the whole person. We teach students to accept the concept of service as a principle of life, to be sensitive to the needs of other people, and to become contributing members in the home and society.
We place special emphasis on training in all facets of character — physical, mental, social and spiritual.

Academic Performance
Many of our students graduate one or two grade levels ahead of their peers in other schools. Average test scores reach the 73rd percentile, after students attend Adventist schools for seven years. Teachers at HMS Richards make it a point to evaluate and adapt to evolving learning styles.

The World’s Largest Protestant School System
Our school belongs to the largest protestant Christian educational system in the world. The Seventh-day Adventist school system operates 8,200 educational institutions in more than 100 countries with 2 million students worldwide. In North America, that includes more than 1,000 schools with 65,000 students in the United States, Canada, and Bermuda.
